“Marmoleum” is the new “Linoleum.” It is produced from renewable materials, including linseed oil, rosins, wood flour, jute, limestone and ecologically responsible pigments. The harvesting/extracting of the materials consumes relatively little energy.


Marmoleum is a linoleum type floor covering formed by coating burlap or canvas with linseed oil, powdered cork and rosin. Colored pigments are added to create the desired pattern and color. Linoleum is very sensitive to alkalis, acids and solvents. See Linoleum.
